Antoine Carlyle, Sr. Obituary

Antoine Allen Carlyle was born October 25, 1979 in Swainsboro, Georgia to David Steven Hightower and Patricia Carlyle.   He departed this life on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 after an extended illness. 

Antoine attended the public schools of Emanuel County, Georgia and he was a member of the 1996 graduating class of Swainsboro High School, Swainsboro, Georgia.   He came into the knowledge of Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Bishop Mary S. McKinnon at Davis Chapel Holiness Church.

On July 25, 2011, he married the love of his life, Charmin Brown. They resided in Newport News, Virginia.   In 2019, Antoine became a member of The Edge Worship Centre of Newport News under the leadership of Pastor Clifton Collins, Jr.

Antoine was loving called “Anthony” and “Ant” by family and friends.  He was also referred to as “Stone Cold” by some of his friends. He was a loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, grandfather, and friend.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Charmin Carlyle of Newport News, VA; five daughters, La’Myra Carlyle, Janiyaa Carlyle and Jasmine Carlyle all of Swainsboro, GA, Taleah White and Trenotta Thomas both of Newport News, VA; one son, Anthony Allen Carlyle, Jr. of Swainsboro, GA; one granddaughter, Kinslee Kali Brinson of Swainsboro, GA; his mother, Patricia Carlyle of Swainsboro, GA; his father, David Steven Hightower, two brothers, Fredrico Carlyle of California and Terence (LaShanda) Carlyle of Stillmore, GA, David Hightower and Byron Hightower both of Wrightsville, GA ; one sister, Nedra Carlyle Kirkland of Swainsboro, GA; his maternal grandmother, Elder Essie Mae Carlyle of Swainsboro, GA; a host of uncles and uncles, who loved him dearly; godparents, Elder Walter and Apostle Linda Travett; one god-brother, Adrian (Jennifer) Young; best friend, Adrielle Young and a host of relatives and friends.
