Ms. Annie Ruth Rivers was born to the late Jeff and Lucille Henry James on April 5, 1943. She attended public schools in Candler County and Tattnall County.
At an early age, she joined Collins Church of God in Collins, GA. Later, she transitioned her membership to Holy Zion Holiness Church in Metter, GA. She was a faithful member and devoted her life to serving the Lord. She found great enjoyment in spending time with family and friends. She frequently participated in social activities through the local Concerted Services organization. Friends and family described her as outgoing, lovable and a joy to be around.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Willie James, Barney James and Doris Mosley (Brazil).
She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons Willie C. James (Naomi) of Miami, FL and Frederick Etheridge (Twaun) of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren Jermaine Dukes, Fernandez Burke, Frederick Etheridge Jr. and Dionnia Etheridge; her loving sisters Gladys James and Luretha Mosley (Mike) both of Metter, GA, Helen Dukes of Ellabell, GA and Grace Wilkerson (Willie Gene) of Claxton, GA; her adoring brother Earl James of Metter, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
