Annie Ruth Gainer Griffin was born January 1, 1948 to Bubba and Lillie Gainer in Jenkins County, Georgia. She passed on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Life Care Center, Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Annie attended the public-school system of Jenkins, County, Georgia. At an early age, she gave her life to Christ and joined Jones Temple Baptist Church, Jenkins County, Georgia. She married the love of her life, Lenell Griffin. To this union four children were born. Annie had a great love for dancing and singing. Mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Annie was preceded in death by her husband Lenell Griffin, her parents, Bubba and Lillie Gainer, one brother, Norris Chance, five sisters, Julia Mae Davis, Susie Mae Davis, Bubba Lee Gainer, Sarah Cotman and Martha Mikell.
Annie leaves to cherish fond memories; three devoted sons Anthony Griffin of Pembroke, Georgia, Jimmy (Melissa) Griffin of Collins, Georgia, and Donell (Traci) Griffin of Moreno Valley, California; one daughter, Tawanda Griffin of Statesboro, Georgia; one brother, Wallace Gainer of Metter, Georgia; three sisters, Annie Liza Fletcher of Cocoa, Florida, Mary Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia and Lillie Mae Smith of Metter, Georgia; twelve grandchildren, Cameron Griffin, Yasmine Griffin, Twaunte Griffin, Jimmy Griffin, Jr., Jamya Griffin, Zykiria Griffin, Donell Griffin Jr., Marcus Griffin, Darius Griffin, Zackary Mella, Monroe Mella, and Avery Ojendky; seven great-grandchildren; a host of loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends along with special niece Veronica Wright.
