Andrew Daniels, Sr.

Daniel Andrews was born April 16, 1936 in Emanuel County, Georgia to the late Horace and Cherry Lawrence Andrews.  He departed this life on Friday, January 6, 2017 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.  He resided all of his life in Swainsboro, Georgia.

He was married to Margie Fae Parrish Andrews for almost 60 years.  They were the parents of three children.  He was employed by the Swainsboro Housing Authority where he served faithfully for over 35 years until retiring in 1997.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and farming his land, which he nicknamed “The Ponderosa.”

Daniel leaves to cherish fond memories his beloved wife, Margie Fae Parrish Andrews, one daughter, Debra Andrews Thomas Augusta, GA, and two sons, Daniel Andrews Jr., Kernersville, NC and Anthony Lamont Andrews (Laurie), Jacksonville, NC.   One brother, Samuel Andrews (Deborah) of Hephzibah, GA and one sister, Sarah Andrews of Cincinnati, OH.  Seven grandchildren, Patricia Denise Raymond (Dayton), Aiken, SC, Alicia Faith Thomas, Silver Spring, MD, Anthony Mikhail Andrews, Daniel Andrews III, and Brenna L. Andrews of Jacksonville, NC, Gabrianna Andrews and Brendan Andrews of Rockville, MD.  He also leaves behind three great grandchildren, Dayton Raymond Jr, Caleb Thomas Raymond, and Kylee Faith Raymond of Aiken, SC. 

He also leaves to mourn  one brother-in-law Louie Parrish (Francine), Ridge NY and six sisters-in-law Carol Smith, Marion NY, Patricia Bellard (Wilbert), Macon GA, Gwendolyn Rogers, Riverdale GA, Vivian Scott (David), New York NY, Margaret Tillman(Curtis), Atlanta GA, Josephine C. Parrish, Pulaski GA and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
