Andre Larue Mobley, lovingly known as “Big Moe,” was born on January 18, 1984, at Hollywood Memorial Hospital in Hollywood, Florida, to Mrs. Jennifer Renee Towns‑Jones and the late Mr. Elijah Mobley. He was the second eldest of five brothers and brought joy, warmth, and a gentle spirit to all who knew him.
Andre received his early education at Oakridge Elementary and Attucks Middle School. He continued to South Broward High School before transferring to Hallandale High School, where he graduated. His athletic talent earned him a football scholarship to Stillman College in Alabama. After his time at Stillman, Andre pursued various endeavors, always striving to better himself and provide for those he loved.
Above all, Andre cherished being a father. His devotion to his only son was unwavering, and he expressed his love through both his words and his actions. In 2019, Andre relocated from Broward County to Hinesville, Georgia, where he found a renewed spiritual calling. Though he had given his life to God at an early age, his faith deepened in Hinesville as he grew more committed to serving and speaking the Word of Truth.
Andre later advanced his professional career by becoming a sworn Law Enforcement Officer in Savannah, Georgia, a role he fulfilled with honor until the onset of his illness.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Mr. Elijah Mobley, and his beloved Grandmothers, Pernell “Sis” Littles‑Register and Catherine Mobley and a beloved Aunt, Carolyn Bernette Littles- Baldwin.
Andre leaves to cherish his memory his loving son, Drevaughn Mobley of Miramar, Florida; his devoted mother, Jennifer Renee Towns‑Jones (Victor Jones) of West Palm Beach, Florida; and his four brothers: Timothy Lee Johnson Jr., William Harris Fairchild Jr., Demarcus Leeithan Wright IV, and Victorious Faith McLeod (Shanteria McLeod).
He is also survived by four cherished aunts: Mary Elizabeth Towns‑Parker (Jamie J. Parker), Vivian Ann Towns‑Ducksworth (Stacey Ducksworth), and Devona Dawson‑Bailey (Lance Bailey); three great aunts, Pearl Mason, Annie Kirkland, and Lennie Berry; two great great aunts, Mary Grace Robinson and Mary B. Robinson; one great great uncle, Lawson Robinson. Andre adored his niece, Dominque Johnson, and his nephews Titus, Isaac, and Israel Johnson.
In addition, he leaves behind his treasured first cousins: Latoya Donise Holloman‑Hill (Marquette Hill), ShaCarol Lenette Porter, Airamist Marie Belin, Auctorina Monique Belin, Burnon Clark Anderson Jr. (Stephanie Anderson), Predes Belin Jr. “Najee” (Tiffani Belin) of the U.S. Air Force, Akeem Rashad Mickles, Quavon Jamal Graham and two special cousins, Quanda Littles and Dominique Riley. Andre is also remembered by a host of extended family members, nieces, nephews, and countless friends whose lives he touched.
Our “Gentle Giant” has completed his earthly journey with grace and strength at best. For God has now called Andre for his rest. So rest on, “Big Moe.” Rest on, dear son. Though you are no longer with us physically, we hold faith that we will meet you again spiritually.
