Wyonnie Lee Hobbs-Mincey was born September 3, 1948 to Willie and Minnie Lee Hobbs in Pulaski, Georgia.She departed this life on September 24, 2018, at her residence.
At an early age, Wyonnie joined Lakeside First Baptist Church in Metter, Georgia. While residing in Statesboro,Georgia, she moved her membership to Original First African Missionary Baptist Church. She attended to public schools of Candler County and was a member of 1966 graduating class of Lillian Street High School
Wyonnie is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Purvis Brunson, Jr., one daughter, Laverne Thomas, one grandson, Ahmad Thomas; and one granddaughter, Chelesea Thomas.
She is survived by two sons, R. Steveson Brunson of Metter, Georgia and Gary D. Mincey of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Robbin Brunson of Metter, Georgia and CoCo Mincey of Statesboro, Georgia; four brothers, Mack Arthur Hobbs of North Chicago, Illinois, Johnny Hobbs of Hephzibah, Georgia, John V. Hobbs of Atlanta, Georgia and Tony Hobbs of Statesboro, Georgia; four sisters, Mary Louise (James) Henry of Columbia, South Carolina, Voncile Powell of Fairbluff, North Carolina, Mary Ann (Willie) Burnson of Chicago, Illinois, and Janice (Willie) Donaldson of Metter, Georgia; three uncles; one aunt; one great aunt; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
