Mary Pearl Mincey, 81, died Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at her residence in Metter. She was born March 23, 1937 in Candler County, Georgia to Asberry and Queen Ellis Mincey. She attended the public schools of Candler County and was a member of the 1955 graduating class of Candler County Training School.
After receiving training in the medical field, Mary was employed at Metter Medical Associates as an assistant to Dr. Robert S. Robinson for more than 40 years. She was an active and faithful member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Pulaski.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Asberry Mincey, Jr. and Charlie L. Mincey; two sisters, Sarah Mincey, and Mable Cook.
Survivors include: two brothers, Willie Claude Mincey of Metter and Edgar Mincey of Hampton, VA; three sisters, Lilla M. Barlow and Thelma M. Davis both of Newark, NJ and Leomia M. Williams of Hampton, VA.; two aunts, Almeeter Phillips of Metter and Ruby Wright of FL; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
