Lenard Wilson

Mr. Lenard Wilson was born June 21, 1950 to Ms. Amie Cook and Mr. Jack Russell in Jenkins County, Georgia.  He attended the public schools of Jenkins County and at a young age he attended Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. 

 Lenard served his country in the United States Marine Corps.   During his enlistment he received  the Good Conduct Medal , Marksmanship Badges and  The National Defense Service Medal.  He was honorably discharged in 1975.  For several years Lenard was employed by the city of Metter, Georgia working in the area of public works.

On June 21, 1988, he married the former Stella Robertson.  They shared a beautiful life of love and devotion until his passing on December 29, 2018.

Lenard was preceded by his parents; two brothers, John Wilson and Phillip Wilson and two sisters, Selena Wilson and Lonnie Mae Wilson Ellis.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Stella Wilson of Twin City, GA; two sons, Antonio (Casey) Burke of FL and Eugene (Melissa) Robertson of Atlanta, GA;  four  daughters, Shanique (Jack) Thomas of New York and  Shella (Jerry) Byrd of Swainsboro, GA, Lois Mikell  of Metter, GA and Kadijah Carlyle of Twin City, GA; one sister, Bertha Carlyle of Metter, GA; ten grandchildren , four great grandchildren,  five sisters-in-law, Loretta Wilson of New York, Geraldine Hills of Twin City, GA, Francis Kirkland of Garfield, GA, Hazel Robertson of Twin City, GA and Faye Wilson of Atlanta, GA ; one brother-in-law, Nathaniel (Regina) Davis of Midville, GA;  several  nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
