Beola Mincey

Beola Mincey, 83, passed on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah. Beola was born on February 27, 1936 in Candler County to the late Arzo and Lillie Holland Mincey. 

At an early age she joined Piney Grove Baptist Church in Cobbtown.  She attended the public schools of Candler County and she was a member of the Candler County Training School Class of 1954.  After graduating from high school Beola moved to Cincinnati, Ohio.  There she became a dedicated member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was employed by Merrell Dow Pharmaceutical, Inc. of Cincinnati for over twenty-five years before retiring and returning to Metter.  Upon returning to the area, she rejoined Piney Grove Baptist Church.  She was employed by the Candler County School System as a Teacher’s Assistant for several year before retiring in 1998. 

Beola leaves to cherish fond memories: one brother, Arzo (Regina) Mincey of Fredericksburg, VA; three sisters, Virginia (Earl) Byrd of Woodbridge, VA, Ouida (Charles) Mainer and Fronita Mincey both of Metter; a godson, Tymere D. Hills of Metter; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
