Barbara Ann Hendrix

Barbara A. Hendrix was born July 30, 1951 to Walstein Mincey, Jr. and Sadie R. Hendrix Deloach in Metter, Georgia. She entered into eternal rest on July 20, 2019.

Barbara was a member of Saint Matthew Missionary Baptist Church in Metter. She attended the public schools of Candler County, Georgia and she was a member of the 1969 graduating class of Lillian Street High School in Metter.  Barbara attended East Georgia College, where she received an Associate Degree in Food and Nutrition.

With her excellent skill and love for cooking, Barbara forged a career in dietary services. She was employed in the area of food services by Taylor and Bird Nursing Home, Inc. for more than twenty years and Pruitt Health Services for more than ten years.

Barbara had a love for music. She was a member of the Saint Matthew Missionary Baptist Church Choir and The Tri-County Choir for many years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walstein Mincey, Jr.; two brothers, George Alton Deloach and Walstein Mincey,III; one sister, Debra Mincey; maternal grandparents, Quanita Victoria Hendrix and Van Buren Hendrix; paternal grandparents, Bertha Lee Mincey and Walstein Mincey, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Sadie Ruth Deloach of Metter, GA; three brothers, Barwick Hendrix (Ava), and Inman W. Deloach, Jr. of Metter, GA and Ricky Mincey of Fort Lauderdale, FL; five sisters, Cheri Deloach,  Bridgette Deloach and Sharon Edwards (Earl) all of Metter, GA; Brenda Williams (Nathaniel) and Annie Mincey of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two godsons, Eric Whitaker and Christopher Harvey both of Metter, GA; ten nieces, eight nephews, twelve great nieces and ten great nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
